Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our fast-growing cyber security business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of network proxy applications by creating, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and building automated testing solutions for end to end and integration tests. You will collaborate closely with the development and engineering team to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities
 
    • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
    • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
    • Execute manual and automated testing
    • Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues found during testing.
    • Participate in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure testing is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team and sales team to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements.
    • Assist in root cause analysis for complex defects found in production or testing.
    • Ensure thorough documentation of test plans, procedures, and outcomes.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA documentation and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
 
    • Strong Experience with test automation tools and testing frameworks
    • Strong TCP/IP and networking experience
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation, with a focus on creating reusable, maintainable test scripts.
    • Knowledge of the Linux operating system and containerisation is highly desirable.
    • Experience in both manual and automated testing.
    • Proven ability to identify, isolate, and help resolve software defects.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with development teams and articulate findings to the wider technical team.

Role: hybrid/remote – 2/3 days a week in the office during onboarding, mostly remote after onboarding (up to 5 days a month in the office with advanced notice)

Salary: 42000-47000 based on experience and suitability.
