Westwood Group Sponsors GMYN’s 5-A-Side Tournament to Support Young People
Westwood Group was honoured to sponsor and take part in Greater Manchester Youth Network’s 5-a-side charity football tournament, helping to raise vital funds for the young people and services GMYN supports. With a sponsorship of £4,500, we were proud to play a part in ensuring GMYN can continue its life-changing work.
What GMYN Does
Greater Manchester Youth Network(GMYN) is a charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 10-25 across Greater Manchester. They provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for young people, particularly those facing challenges such as:
- Care-experienced young people – Helping them develop confidence, independence, and a support network.
- Young people with mental health challenges – Offering wellbeing sessions, mentorship, and safe spaces to talk.
- Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children – Supporting them with integration, skills development, and a sense of belonging.
- Young people with disabilities or neurodivergence – Ensuring access to opportunities that help them thrive.
- Those not in education, employment, or training (NEET) – Providing guidance, employability programmes, and new opportunities.
Through tailored programmes, workshops, and activities, GMYN helps young people build skills, confidence, and brighter futures.
A Day of Team Spirit and Fundraising
The 5-a-side tournament was a brilliant way to bring people together in support of this cause. The competition was fierce, the energy was high, and whether playing, donating, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone contributed to making the event a huge success.
The funds raised will go directly to GMYN’s work, helping them continue delivering essential services that provide young people with the support and opportunities they need.
