Spreading Christmas Cheer: Westwood Group Supports GMYN’s Big Give Campaign
This Christmas, Westwood Group has been proud to support Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) through The Big Give, raising vital funds to help provide mental health support for young people over the festive season.
Everyone at Westwood Group had been involved in raising funds for the Big Give Campaign at Westwood Group office located in X+Why 100 Embankment.
The raffle became the talk of the building from the support of X+Why members, with colleagues and visitors alike getting involved to support a cause that means so much to us. Through generous donations and ticket purchases, Westwood raised an amazing £1,151.60-and to further boost our impact, our CEO and Director contributed an additional £2,500, bringing our total to an incredible £3,651.60.

Why GMYN’s Work Matters
GMYN supports young people aged 10-25 across Greater Manchester, providing life-changing opportunities to help them develop skills, confidence, and resilience. Many of the young people they work with face significant challenges, including:
- Care-experienced young people, helping them build support networks and develop independence.
- Young people with mental health challenges, offering safe spaces, mentorship, and wellbeing activities.
- Unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, helping them integrate, make connections, and build new futures.
- Those with disabilities or neurodivergence, ensuring they have the right support to thrive.
- Young people not in education or employment, helping them find training, jobs, and purpose.
During the Christmas period, these challenges can feel even greater. That’s why GMYN’s Big Give Christmas Campaign was all about ensuring young people had somewhere to turn for support, activities to take part in, and a community that cares.
Making a Real Difference
Every pound raised through the raffle will go directly to supporting GMYN’s Christmas initiatives, including:
- Mental health workshops to help young people manage their wellbeing during the holiday season.
- Social activities and events to reduce isolation and provide positive experiences.
- One-to-one support and mentorship to ensure no young person feels alone.
Thank You to everyone who helped support this campaign
This campaign would not have been possible without the generosity of our team and everyone who bought a ticket or donated. Your support is making a real difference in ensuring that young people in Greater Manchester feel seen, supported, and valued this Christmas and beyond.
From all of us at Westwood Group, thank you for making this festive season that little bit brighter for those who need it most
